Job Description

Our Global Enterprise Partner Team is in hyper-growth mode to power make commerce better for everyone, and our Partner Solutions/Sales Engineering team will work alongside our ISV and SI/Agency partners to design and deliver high impact solutions to our mutual customers.

These solutions will address the needs of the enterprise customer and you will work directly with our partners and our sales teams with notable brands to develop their commerce strategies whether that is starting or expanding their brick & mortar operations or e-commerce business, adopting our Retail solutions, or leveraging the power of Shopify Payments to scale. 

This is where you can come in…As a Partner Solution Architect you’ll lead the technical solutioning and enablement for our ISV and SI/Agency partners to develop joint solutions that accelerate time to business value and deliver high value for our enterprise customers. You will work closely with ISVs that compliment Shopify’s platform to develop solutions that our SI/Agency partners will co-market and deliver. You will work closely with our SI/Agency partners to align these solutions to our target customers in D2C, B2B, and Retail markets.

Shopify is a remote-first environment. Candidates can be based out of any North American Region that falls under EST, PST, MST, or CST.

As a Partner Solution Architect you'll be making an impact by:

• Collaborating with ISV and SI partners to develop value added solutions built on or integrated with the Shopify Platform 
• Engaging with Partners and Shopify Partner Sales Engineers to create customized solutions, product demos, and proof of concepts for use during on-site or virtual client demonstrations
• Becoming an expert on Shopify’s application ecosystem and integrations
• Partnering closely with ISV partners to create differentiated solutions
• Working closely with SI/Agency partners on creating and delivering scalable solutions in complex environments
• Aligning with Product and RnD teams on future roadmaps and sharing feedback on released features and client trends
• Mentoring and coaching other Shopify teams on the extensibility of our platform

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience working with enterprise commerce customers in D2C, Retail and B2B as a Solution Architect.
• Solid understanding of Cloud-based technologies and SaaS fundamentals
• Experience integrating commerce solutions with complex enterprise architecture and infrastructure
• Deep understanding of technical strategy as it relates to operating and growing commerce businesses
• Familiarity with leading Marketing Automation, DXP, CMS, Experimentation, PIM, iPaas, OMS, ERP, and fraud platforms
• Hands-on skills of Frontend Web development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Liquid)
• Strong understanding of headless commerce and composable architecture
• Strong API knowledge (REST and GraphQL) for enterprise integrations.
• Ability to work closely with Partner CTOs and Solution Architects to identify differentiated solutions to co-market
• Great troubleshooting and analytical skills combined with the desire to tackle challenges head-on
• A powerful video conference presence with confidence handling executive-level conversations
• You have the ability to prioritize competing demands and goals.
• You are comfortable with ambiguity
