JOB TITLE: Bakery Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Supervise Bakers and Bakery Clerks in the performance of their duties, order product, schedule clerks, take inventories weekly.
Essential Functions
1. Provides customers with superior service2. Has knowledge of and assists with the duties of each clerk in his/her department.3. Orders all products for the department.4. Ensures that all equipment is properly maintained.5. Ensures that all product is properly rotated and priced6. Ensures that all specials have proper signs.7. Is responsible for merchandising product.8. Follows up on special orders.9. Is responsible for weekly inventory.10. Is responsible for cleanliness and safety of the department.11. Practice safe food handling regarding temperatures, cross contamination, & hygiene12. Finds more efficient ways to do the job and seeks to reduce costs and improve labor productivity.13. Buys into sales to promote profits14. Performs all of the duties of a baker as needed.15. Is responsible for controlling shrink16. Effectively manages department personnel including writes dept. schedules, completes disciplinary write-ups, and performs annual evaluations with mgmt assistance.
Other Responsibilities
1. Checks raincheck book daily.2. Keeps track of sales daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly for ordering, scheduling and tracking department growth.
3. Works with other departments in Company sales promotions.4. Performs UFCW Local 27 duties incl. stock, bagging, and cash register
Education, Experience and Skills Required
1. Ability to read, writes, and speaks English and performs basic math skills.2. Ability to understand and follow directions3. Ability to perform the job while standing.4. Full range of motion from kneeling to standing repeatedly with ability to reach above the shoulder5. Ability to lift product and supplies up to 100 lbs.6. Ability to work in varying temperatures7. Ability to push/pull 4-wheel equipment loaded with product.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
