At Shredfast Inc. and ShredSupply Inc., we are a manufacturer and remanufacturer of mobile document paper and hard drive shredding and collection vehicles. Our parts & services department offer on-site coast to coast shred truck mechanical repair and North American customer service parts support. The Parts Specialist is a member of the Shipping & Receiving department and reports to the Senior Procurement Manager. Our Parts Specialist is responsible for monitoring parts inventory, assisting in purchasing, transferring parts, and coordinating parts shipping. Candidates applying for this position must be a self-starter, be able to take direction, be meticulously organized, and adhere to policies.

Essential Functions

• Communicate effectively with both customers and vendors to take parts orders, update order status, and resolve fulfillment issues.
• Assist with inventory management including monitoring inventory levels, inventory data entry, and picking.
• Facilitate intracompany parts transfers.
• Prepare and ship parts to service technicians operating in the field.
• Handle parts returns and shipping parts covered under warranty.
• Cleaning and organizing work areas.

Shift Schedule

Monday to Friday / 8:30am to 5:00pm (non-exempt), Full-Time position

(must have reliable transportation for work commute)

Wage: $22.00 - $24.00

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in inventory management or parts department preferred.
• Computer skills needed – Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
• Google Spreadsheets and QuickBooks are not required but will distinguish an applicant.
• The candidate will be required to learn inventory software proprietary to the company Experience having safely and responsibly operated a forklift.
• Excellent customer service, professionalism, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency
• Must be detail-oriented and thorough in following procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when moving heavy items such as heavy boxes and parts, and be able to sit, stand, crouch and kneel.
• Must be minimum 25 years of age to operate company owned/insured vehicles.
