Clinical Technician -
Location: Conyers, GA
Pay: $15-17/hr.
Type: Contract, in-person
Shift: Mon, Wed, Fri - 8:30am - 4pm
Job Description:
Records patient information, insurance and address on to laboratory request forms. Secures specimens for safe shipping. Records and maintains accurate patient processing logs. Operates in compliance with company policies, as well as applicable Federal and State regulations.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education and/or Certification:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Assistant or similar certification preferred
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of collection practices, HIPAA compliance
- General knowledge of basic office procedures
- Basic computer knowledge
Preferred Knowledge:
- Knowledge of medical laboratory terminology
- Thorough understanding of the sample collection, shipping, processing and reporting processes
Required Experience:
- Customer service position
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a clinical lab or related science/medical environment
Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
- Submits regular reports and records as assigned
- Safeguards data and maintains patient confidentiality
- Delivers outstanding customer service to clients
- Escalates compliance issues, missing results, client complaints to clinical supervisor
- Reviews demographic information verifying consistency between requisition forms and patient documents
- Adheres specifically to all company policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations and laws
- Performs other duties as required
