Role Overview: The RF System Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the
optimal performance and reliability of P-25 public safety radio systems for
their assigned region. These systems are essential for effective communication

prospects, partners, and internal personnel. This communication is aimed at fostering

public safety communication solutions. The RF System Engineer's expertise and

in the industry.
Job Description:
- Field
support of existing large complex public safety communications systems
within Florida and possible travel to other areas in support of Ci
efforts.
- Lead
and mentor a cadre of technicians, assisting in talent development.
- Work
with management and customers to identify, present, and implement
enhancement opportunities.
- Develop
needs assessments for State and Local Government Agencies and assist Ci
team during sales presentations.
- Generate
and present project schedules and goals, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Participate
in or lead discussions with customers, consultants, vendors, and other
personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide
field support for public safety communication systems, including
analog/digital radio networks, IP networks, microwave links, and wireless
data.
- Lead
and mentor technicians, contributing to talent development.
- Collaborate
with management and customers to identify enhancement opportunities.
- Develop
needs assessments for State and local agencies and support sales
presentations.
- Generate
and present project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Participate
in or lead discussions with customers, consultants, vendors, and other
personnel.
Qualifications & Requirements: Required:
- 5
years of experience in maintaining large public safety radio networks.
- Extensive
knowledge of L3Harris land mobile radio (LMR) systems, simulcast, P25
radio technology, and microwave systems.
- Technical
proficiency in Linux, SQL server, Microsoft, Cisco networking devices,
Firepower firewalls, VMware.
- Strong
proficiency in computer skills, including networking.
- Knowledge
of telecommunications test equipment.
- Knowledge
of TCP/IP, networking principles, and network security.
- Excellent
troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications
(e.g., CCNP, CISSP).
Travel: Approximately 25%.
