Job Summary: This role is key member of our valuation team and will be instrumental in helping us build our process and financial reporting deliverables for the new FASB Long Duration Targeted Improvements (LDTI) standard as well as adapting the statutory reporting process for the new software and tools. Immediate responsibilities will include: Update the current statutory reporting process to use the new data warehouse and ensure accounting entries are updated as needed. Assist in the design and implementation of LDTI reporting process and workpapers to understand and explain financial results under LDTI. Work as part of a team to produce the monthly\quarterly statutory and GAAP financial statements. In summary, you’ll not only contribute to producing the financial statements for IDI, you’ll also have the opportunity to help influence how we build the tools to move us forward in a new way of calculating reserves under LDTI. We seek an individual who is dedicated, motivated and is curious and wants to grow within the organization and that keeps an eye to continuous improvement to identify ways to enhance and streamline our processes. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 4 years experience, or the equivalent combination of education/experience. Experience with full set of Microsoft Office software. Strong communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders. Qualifications Helpful/Desired: Prior experience in IDI or disability insurance or LTC or life Moody’s Axis experience or the desire to learn the software. SQL and/or Python experience. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year. Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
