The Role
As Warehouse Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading many warehouse functions, which could include receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping. This is a full-time role with benefits. This role sits in a new division of our business, and is a perfect fit for someone who can and wants to grow with our operation as we scale. We are looking for someone who is excited to be a hands on manager, and you should initially expect to spend ~75% of your time on the floor supporting daily activities and 25% of your time focused on strategic planning.
Working closely with our leadership team, your responsibilities will include managing things like:
- Receiving, Picking & Packing
- Hiring, Training, & Performance Management
- Scheduling
- Storage and workflow optimization
- Creating SOPs
- Compliance
- Enforcing safety standards
- Procurement and negotiating with vendors
Outcomes
You’ll quickly become an expert in all our warehouse functions. Your performance should meet our highest quality standards and set an example for other team members as to what excellence in the role looks like.
You’ll leverage your past experience to recommend and implement best practices in our organization.
You’ll proactively identify and improve inefficiencies in our process, including workflows and overall warehouse organization.
You'll translate both productivity and capacity planning to create a labor and space/capital forecast.
You'll have a strong understanding of warehouse KPIs lead a team that consistently meets and exceeds our targets.
You’ll lead the hiring and training process for part-time staff and ensure they are held accountable to our high standards through on the spot coaching, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans.
You’ll ensure the warehouse is always stocked with all the supplies it needs to operate efficiently, while procuring those supplies as cost effectively as possible
You'll learn and utilize technology (WMS) in addition to making recommendations for change to gain additional efficiencies via the various systems.
