What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ink Blender position at Siegwerk?
Siegwerk in York, PA is looking for an Ink Technician to join our team! As an Ink Technician you will perform a broad range of technical tasks pertaining to daily ink room management and operation under the direction of the plant manager.
Shift: Two shifts available! 2nd shift, rotating schedule with every other weekend off. 3rd shift, rotating schedule with every other weekend off
Responsibilities
- Assists customer with ink room operations.
- Coordinates job set up for presses.
- Formulates and blends inks as required.
- Maintains inventory control standards.
- Organizes inks for press runs.
- Returns inks from press to appropriate area.
- Performs press-side color matching.
- Operates color computer.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience working with solvent ink is preferred.
- Color matching ability and knowledge of inks and films preferred.
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, communications skills, and demonstrated initiative in problem solving/troubleshooting required.
- Knowledge of basic computer operating and a good working knowledge of IMS.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence
