Position Overview
The Syva Sales Specialist position is field based, must live in the territory
and be willing to travel.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for selling to clinical accounts including
hospitals as well as clinical laboratories (regional and national) plus other
Syva customers in the Criminal Justice, Drug Courts, Industrial testing, Drug
Treatment facilities and other drug testing markets within the territory. This
position interacts in the field with Technical Application Specialists, Field
Service Engineers, Customer Care Managers, and Regional Sales Managers, and
internally with various departments Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics (DX).
Externally the Sales Specialist interacts with all levels of employees and
management at their current and prospect Customer accounts and opportunities.
The nature of these interactions includes distributing up to date technical
documentation for DX products, answering questions, solving problems,
coordinating instrument demonstrations and installations, providing education on
product information and ongoing management of territory accounts.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
This position requires independent thinking, strong selling skills, and good customer orientation with excellent communication and presentations skills. The issues encountered are usually complex in nature and will involve answering questions on product performance, features and benefits, finance and pricing. Some problems will be more complex and may require involvement of other DX resources. Effective performance is measured primarily by instrument and revenue sales to an annual sales plan.
Candidate must have 3+ years sales experience in hospital call point, ideally in capital or reagents or reference, toxicology lab sales.
A clean driving record over the last three years is required.
Computer proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, CRM and other sales software platforms.
