Sierra Winds is currently offering a $2500 hiring bonus to qualified applicants. The schedule is four days on and two days off.
Employees are required to obtain a fingerprint clearance card, as a condition of employment at Sierra Winds.
Sierra Winds is currently seeking passionate LPNs for our skilled nursing facility. We are excited to add additional staff to care for our skilled residents.
The LPN provides direct nursing care to residents and delegates and supervises the care provided by RN. Administers medications, performs treatments and procedures, obtains specimens as needed, completes documentation as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Document resident status as per policy.
- Provide daily supervision to assigned staff and directly provide nursing care to residents as assigned.
- Participate in the admission of new residents.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), family/social activities and actively promote independent life-style of residents.
- Respond to residents call system promptly and courteously.
- Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes and the development and monitoring of care plans and re-assessment of each resident.
- Provide daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning facility conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies.
- Provide nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies.
- Ensure preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative services to residents and assists in the coordination of nursing care with care rendered by other disciplines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· An LPN licensed by the State of Arizona.
· Five years working in geriatrics in long term care, home health or other health care setting.
· Five years organizational or management experience supervising others preferred.
· Must have good English language skills and the ability to communicate well both in writing and orally.
· Must possess good organizational skills; able to work without supervision and constant direction.
· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
