What We Need:

Sig Sauer is in the middle of a digital transformation, and we are looking for someone to help carry the vision and lead the team through design thinking and user centric design approaches. We are on a journey to shift the way we have built customer facing platforms in the past, from fragmented mobile and desktop applications to cloud-native ecosystems. We are a looking for a strong leader who will own and deliver intuitive and delightful experiences to our employees and customers. Ability to deliver strong user journeys, ownership of the vision and conversation to help others (stakeholder and product teams) align to real user needs are a must.

What You'll Do:

* Lead, manage and execute (hands-on) entire design projects, from concepts to deployment.

* Solve complex design challenges and create intuitive and enjoyable digital experiences.

* Work closely with end users, product owners, and teams to understand the full picture, set the vision for the user experience, and ensure the preservation of said vision in the final product.

* Deeply understand your audiences through research, testing, personas, and journeys.

* Visualize experiences via wireframes, flow maps, visual mockups, and interactive prototypes.

* Establish, update, and clearly communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to executives, end users, and IT teams.

* Provide thought leadership and guidance in design thinking and user-centered design. Create tools, frameworks, and patterns that delivery teams will use to build cohesive and consistent experiences.

* Proactively identify, circumvent, avoid and/or resolve issues and problems that have an adverse impact on projects.

* Have awareness and manage to budget utilizing approved projects, prioritization, and value delivered framework.

* Participate in project evaluation and estimation efforts.

* Develop and drive attainment of our key success metrics and KPIs.

* Thrive and quickly execute in an environment of rapid change, sometimes minimal structure, and high expectations.

* Keep abreast of new UX design concepts and technologies to maximize efficiencies and support possible methodology changes.

What You'll Need:

* BA/BS degree in Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related technical field required. MBA/MS in same preferred.

* 10 years of experience in user centered design, with a focus on digital and end-to- end web/mobile responsive design

* Portfolio of work demonstrating expertise and skill in creating user-centric digital experiences for web and mobile business applications

* Extensive experience in design research, prototyping, and testing designs with users

* Demonstrated expertise turning design research into tangible, actionable design outcomes.

* Fluency in best practices for web-based and mobile information architecture and responsive design, as well as deep and broad knowledge of usability principles and techniques

* Experience in introducing metrics and data-driven decision-making preferred.

* Previous leadership experience.

* Strong, confident communication style and presentation skills; capable of interfacing effectively with multiple levels of management across our business units.

* Ability to quickly learn new subject matter areas and asses the work effort required for optimal results.

* Demonstrate ability to manage and execute multiple design efforts, with multiple products at varying phases of the development process.

* Expertise in design tools, such as: Figma & Adobe Creative Suite

* Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS preferred.

* At least 8 years in leading UX conversations in collaborative team setting

* Experience in Scrum or Kanban

* Strong creative, analytical, organizational, and task management skills

* Relentless attention to detail

Working Conditions:

*Able to lift up to 25 pounds

*Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
