Compensation: Non-exempt, $60,000-$80,000, based on experience
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Your Role.
As the Human Resources Manager, you will be involved in expanding and developing the Human Resources Department as the company evolves. Evaluating processes and procedures and giving input into what the future of Human Resources at Signal will be. You will supervise the daily activities and functions of the department, driving it toward new goals, objectives, and systems in order to deliver the best possible employee experience for our team.
What You’ll Do in this Role.
Project Management 30%
- Oversee Onboarding process and new hire orientations
- Oversee Open Enrollment and collaborate with the Human Resources Director and the Benefits Administrator in partnership with broker to create a total rewards package delivering best in class benefits for our employees
- Oversee successful distribution of annual benefits notifications, total reward and compensation letters sent to employees annually
- Help to design and align the quarterly review process for all Home Office - Driving employee goals toward company goals
- Develop programs and systems that will elevate the Human Resources department to the next level as Signal continues to grow
Employee Relations 25%
- Work with the Human Resources Director on employee relations issues
- Ensure PTO and Sick pay policies are built in HRIS - certify education and compliance at the manager level
- Justify PTO and leaves in HRIS and payroll systems to guarantee accurate pay
- Manage unemployment process and communicate updates to HR Director - Respond to all unemployment claims
- Manage the Signal offboarding program and processes – Conduct exit interviews
Team Management 15%
- Partner with the HR Administrative Assistant and Benefits Administrator to execute on department initiatives, projects and tasks pertaining to each team members responsibility
Administration 30%
- Enter all new hires, terms, compensation and organizational change information into payroll system and work with payroll to verify correct submittal biweekly for Home Office
- Responsible for all midyear and annual compensation changes in HRIS
- Ensure the annual filings of 5500, nondiscrimination testing, EEO-1, ACA and other filings required by law are completed timely
- Complete reports for Human Resources Director on monthly turnover, employee counts etc.

Qualifications/Knowledge:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration and 2 years’ experience as a HR Manager, or at least 3 years of experience as an HR generalist with a PHR or SHRM certification is preferred
- Must have supervisory experience
- Must have some payroll experience and ability to pull, analyze and organize payroll data; knowledge of ADP is a plus but not required

The Office Environment:
As part of the company, you can expect to work in a standard office setting where there is a positive team atmosphere. Our office is a collaborative space where cross-department projects are frequent. Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate. You will have exposure to moderate noise levels and on occasion outside weather conditions.
