Summary
The Group Leader will effectively and efficiently manage the day-to-day workflow of all operations by providing clear directions to shift operators, delegating work tasks to line shift personnel, developing shift personnel to provide optimal flexibility, and monitoring daily departmental performance.
Essential Functions
- Adherence to zero tolerance policy for safety and quality.
- Monitor shift performance and the performance of their teams. Coach, direct, and train employees to maximize results and improve the plant culture.
- Direct day-to-day work tasks for shift personnel.
- Follow standard work procedures.
- Maintain strong floor presence.
- Complete hourly quality audits.
- Gemba walk with supervisor during shift.
- Process reviews during shift ensuring compliance to safety, quality, and operational guidelines.
- Complete daily reports and any reporting requirements.
- Assist with development of training plans for shift personnel.
- Communicate and work effectively with other supervisors, managers, and other company personnel to meet company objectives.
- Complete the end of shift checklist.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience: 2-4 years of manufacturing experience w/ prior lead experience preferred
