Role and Responsibilities
The IT Services Manager is responsible for supporting and maturing a growing team of IT professionals, establishing relationships with external clients, servicing computer systems and software, and maintaining computer networks and user connectivity.
- Develops relationships with external clients and organizations to meet their technical requirements
- Offers innovative solutions that meet clients’ needs while remaining cost effective
- Maintains relationships with technology, software, and security vendors
- Manages and assesses the performance of staff members who specialize in IT support
- Identifies staffing needs and works with human resources through the hiring process
- Designs and implements policies and procedures to create better efficiencies within the support team
- Align project objectives with our customer's goals, and make sure the team is clear on objectives
- Maintains familiarity with current and upcoming IT equipment, services, and other developments
- Coordinates troubleshooting, support, and service for equipment and networks when necessary
- Upholds a sense of customer services and measures client satisfaction
- Collects performance metrics (average length of tickets, ticket queue size, etc.) and makes recommendations from those metrics
- Attends industry events and trade exhibitions to learn about cutting edge product releases and news
Background Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent relative experience
- 4 years of experience supporting Windows, OSX, and Linux operating systems in a business environment
- High level of customer communication and service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
