JOB SUMMARY:
This person manages and leads a team of client-facing staff dedicated to search engine optimization through setting and monitoring expectations. Through their insight, planning and leadership of others, they increase team efficiency, improve client satisfaction, reduce costs, minimize errors and waste of resources (including time), and improve employee productivity and morale while contributing to desired corporate objectives and meeting key performance indicators.
This position requires digital marketing savviness across all channels and foresight to plan for, and leverage, new opportunities and technologies for Simpleview.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SEO Manager is able and willing to carry out the responsibilities assigned to Lead, Senior SEO Analysts, and SEO Analysts.
Leadership:
- Leads SEO Analyst team, to include daily management of staff, projects, timelines and customer interactions.
- Directly oversees, coaches, mentors and evaluates team leads.
- Ensures time entries are completed daily and conducts month-end time review to ensure fair and accurate time billed.
- Ensures professional growth for team leads through guidance and training.
- Provides clear communication with Lead SEO Analysts, peer managers, and the Director of Digital Marketing.
- Manages resources, including time, information, budget, and personnel.
- Manages, prioritizes, and delegates tasks across the team.
- Reviews team’s work to ensure quality expectations are met.
- In collaboration with the Lead SEO Analysts, assigns client accounts to team members based on account characteristics, work load, and assessment of analyst strengths.
- Provides administrative oversight over the team, including time-off approvals.
- Sets team standards and processes to increase team efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manages and improves team member performance through regular 1:1 meetings, mid-year, and annual performance reviews.
Strategy and Planning:
- Develops, implements and updates SEO go-to-market strategy to meet department OKRs and KPIs.
- Grows department revenue through identification of new offerings.
- Assesses new tools, third-party products, technologies, systems and processes to improve SEO services, competitiveness, workflows and quality.
- Works with Customer Experience and New Business departments to assist with account plans, proposals and statements of work.
Customer Service and Support:
- Creates and maintains positive client relationships by ensuring the team is adhering to SLAs.
- Assists in developing a stronger presentation of analysis to show customers our service value and performance.
- Ensure monthly customer calls and reports are conducted to standard and on time, providing value and insight to the customer.
- Coordinates all SEO audits, serves as SME, fields all SEO questions and pulls in others as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, assisting with new business, conferences, and speaking engagements. Travel to the office as needed if remote.
