The candidate will be responsible for building and optimizing Simpplr’s visualization and reporting capabilities built on top of the data stack. The ideal candidate is an experienced data visualization engineer who understands how data needs to be presented to end users to tell a story. We love engineers who focus on telling stories using visualization rather than building just plain reports. The candidate will be working in Simpplr’s data engineering team to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.
Experience level:-
- 2 to 4 years
Roles and Responsibilities:-
- Designing, developing, and maintaining user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using complex datasets from different sources
- Builds interactive visualizations and front end software applications for our customers
- Implementing best practices to ensure dashboard design consistency for the best user experience.
- Create and maintain systems documentation
- Collaborate with other functions to ensure reporting needs are addressed
- Designing, writing, and testing analytics platform code
- Debugging applications, tracing code, and finding and fixing bugs
- Plan and execute system expansion as needed to support the company's growth and analytic needs
Skills and Capabilities:-
- Experience of working with BI tools like Sisense, Looker, Tableau or Power BI (Preference is Sisense)
- Experience of SQL (Advanced) and analytical data warehouses (Snowflake will be preferred)
- Understanding of Data warehouse terminology, principles and practices
- Experience with React, TypeScript will be a plus
- Experience of working with Highcharts or D3.js or TypeScript will be a plus
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD and able to effectively use GitHub
- Constantly improve product quality, security, and performance
- Desire to continually keep up with advancements in data visualization practices
- Catch bugs and style issues in code reviews
- Work with the mentality of shipping small features independently
