Full-Time Estate Planning Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist assigned Attorneys in various aspects, including conducting document signings, proofing, and client communications.
  • Daily in-person client interactions, requiring excellent English communication skills for warm, clear, and effective dialogue.
  • Coordinate and track projects, handle miscellaneous drafting, and respond to client inquiries.
  • Answer phones as needed.
  • Attend scheduled weekly and bi-monthly meetings with Attorneys and supervisors.
  • Oversee calendar coordination and ensure proper time management.
  • Manage post-consultation transactions for assigned Attorneys.
  • Schedule signing appointments and coordinate witnesses and notaries.
  • Conduct final proofing before printing and make last-minute drafting corrections.
  • Witness document signings and assist in binder creation, scanning, and file-closing activities.
  • Follow up with clients regarding trust funding and assist in closing client files.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in a law firm or a relevant educational background.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Tech Savvy - must be experienced with Word, Google Workspace, DropBox, and have the ability to pick up new software programs quickly.

Location:

Your primary office will be Fort Mill, however, you must have the flexibility to travel between our Charlotte (Ballantyne) and Fort Mill Offices as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Compensation: This is a full-time, hourly position with a rate of $18.00 - $20.00/hour, reflective of your experience and skills.
