We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join our team! This position will report to the Director of Sales and will be based in the Pacific Northwest area of the US. Ideal candidates will be located in or near Seattle, WA. Other areas such as Denver, Portland, Austin, Salt Lake City, will be considered.
The primary responsibility of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is to drive new business sales of ANSYS Software through the direction of field sales and inside sales activities with an emphasis on large account development. The RSM provides direction and guidance directly to sales reps and other sales professionals. The RSM develops plans and strategies to promote the success of the field sales and inside sales functions and maintains effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of the field sales force.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee assigned geographic area to drive sales personnel to meet ANSYS New Business annual sales targets.
- Mentors, coaches and educates sales personnel in terms of sales techniques and tactics.
- Drives team of sales reps to create significant web-based and in-person events, with lunch and learns, training classes, and tech day seminars.
- Lead and work with local sales personnel to develop large, multi-year opportunities.
- Identify training & consulting sales opportunities that strategically drive ANSYS product sales
- Interface with ANSYS corporate sales management on specific business issues (i.e. special pricing) as well as strategic issues.
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products/services.
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams.
- Provides assessments of field sales, inside sales, and sales support staff productivity.
- Identify and transfer sales “best practices” among office locations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, sales, or marketing or equivalent training in business or sales management, required.
- Experience in engineering and/or enterprise software sales management.
- 5 year's experience within the engineering software industry.
- Direct sales experience including large accounts.
- Effective people management skills.
- Excellent time management, communication, decision-making, EQ, human relations, presentation, etiquette, and organization skills.
- Professional appearance and presentation required.
- Excellent knowledge of software applications such as Salesforce and Office 365 products.
- Must maintain a valid passport and be willing and able to travel both domestically and between the U.S. and Canada.
