General Summary:
- Follows attendance standards and expectations.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures as well as department specific policies and procedures: examples of hospital wide policies include infection control, restraints, and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborates with coworkers, patient, families, physicians, spiritual care and (when needed) the ethics committee when issues arise regarding patients' rights, end of life issues and advance directives.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with patients, families/significant others, physicians and coworkers. advance directives.
- Manages physical resources (supplies and equipment) appropriately, assuring that adequate supplies and equipment are available and in good working order.
- Assesses, plans, organizes, implements, directs, evaluates and revises care delivery to individuals and groups of patients in a timely manner; based on the health status, standards of care, age and developmental level, and language skills of the patients.
- Interprets patient data accurately, and utilizes that data independently or in Consultation with other health team members to plan and revise care. Reports and documents all critical lab values per policy.
- Documents accurately, timely, legibly and appropriately on the admission data Base, medication reconciliation form, 24 hour flow record, IV flow record, and all other documentation forms pertinent to patient care of the patients.

EDUCATION:
- The Registered Nurse will be a graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION: - The RN will have current RN Licensure in the State of Illinois
- CPR Certified required
- ACLS Certified Required
