Candy Maker Retail Sales

We are hiring for several positions at Sinful Sweets Chocolate Company located in Downtown Pittsburgh and at Ross Park Mall. Sinful Sweet was established in 2011, we work as a team that operates under a set of core values, continued growth, and creativity.

This position will learn all aspects of assisting in the making of our candy products and baked products. Training will be provided on preparation, making of products, sanitizing utensils, and clean up. The initial training period depends upon an individual's ability and pace of learning. After training, there are opportunities to specialize in a particular skill needed for different aspects of candy making.

As key members of the Sinful Sweets staff, our Shift Leads assume a critical role in maintaining an inviting and professional retail environment. The role will have primary day-to-day responsibility for fielding customer orders, completing sales transactions, maintaining a sanitary environment, and fostering a collaborative team environment. In addition to possessing a "can-do" attitude, our Shift Leads must have a calm disposition, superior attention to detail, excellent team management skills, and a reputation of great communication skills.

Positions Requirements

• Execute store operations during scheduled shifts and organize opening and closing duties as assigned through own efforts and delegation to Team Members
• Assist with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed; provide feedback to store manager on team member performance during shift
• Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to team members on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve individual performance
• Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational tools and by collaborating with store manager to find new, creative, and effective methods of recognition
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for providing exceptional customer service to all guests during their visit
• Provides feedback of systems for achieving store-wide operational excellence with regards to cash management, food safety, inventory control, and employee performance
• Act as a brand advocate to consumers and employees by communicating the company story, history, vision, and products including those for corporate accounts and special events
• Consistently create high-quality chocolates and baked goods while adhering to all recipe and presentation standards of practice (SOPs)
• Follow all cash management and cash register policies and ensure proper cash management practices are followed by shift team
• Responsible for performing all job duties safely, accurately and with honesty and integrity
• Work Safety - Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks
• Food Safety/Quality - Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
• Other duties as needed
