Reporting to the Senior Paralegal, the Paralegal will be an integral member of the Legal and Compliance Team and will support drafting and negotiation of routine as well as complex agreements and manage the tracking of executed contracts in the internal database. The Paralegal will work with multi-disciplinary teams across functions and regions and should be an enthusiastic, service-oriented, proactive team member.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to the expected base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in Sirtex’s incentive programs (target bonus of 5% for this position) and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In collaboration with internal teams, draft, negotiate and manage contracts necessary for the day-to-day operations of a life sciences company, including Service Agreements, Consulting Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, and Scopes of Work
- Serve as “day to day” legal team partner and liaison to on the business on existing contracts and obligations and provide assistance with implementation of the applicable terms and conditions with support from the other members of the legal team.
- Support ongoing company-wide initiatives, including policy development, template standardization, and training programs.
- Assist with signature authority inquiries; coordinate signatures, notarizations and apostilles.
- Manage and maintain the database of contracts and corporate records to track compliance with contracts and legal requirements.
- Provide training on contractual matters and other legal and compliance issues that affect internal clients.
- Assist with the monitoring and auditing of compliance processes to ensure the company is meeting requirements, with support from the other members of the legal team.
- Assist in the tracking, processing, and review of legal department invoices and other expenses.
- Assist in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
- Handle miscellaneous duties and ad hoc activities as necessary to support the Legal and Compliance Team
- Maintain highest levels of internal and external confidentiality
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Paralegal Certification preferred
- 1-3 years of paralegal experience inhouse, preferably in Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device industry
- Experience managing the contracting process for established template contracts, including the negotiation of the specific terms and conditions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate clearly with employees at all levels within the organization
- Possess superior organization, management, and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize assignments
- Strong interpersonal skills, an energetic, proactive, flexible individual who can work independently and as a team player, with high integrity and ethics in all dealings
- Open to learning, enthused by the day and resilient with a sense of humor
