Industrial Hygiene Field Technician

IH Field Technician

Requires a self-starter. Must be able to operate under limited supervision. General knowledge of construction activities is needed as well as good communication skills. Must be punctual and dependable. WILL TRAIN. After 1 year of employment, employee must acquire asbestos supervision license.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum education is an Associate's Degree
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation
• Capability to successfully complete Air Sampling Professional certification requirements
• Capability to successfully complete Lead-Based Paint Inspector training
• Capability of passing physical exam for respirator protection use
• Able to operate with limited supervision

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work hours are dictated per project. General work hours are 07:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. However, may include weekends, evenings, nights and holidays
• Must be on-call (via cell phone) at all times
• Short to long-term travel (up to 4 weeks at a time) may be required
• Moderate to heavy lifting may be required, up to 50 pounds
• Possible exposure to excessive heat and cold
• Safety hazards with regard to construction and industrial sites and activities
• Working around asbestos, lead, mold, and environmental hazards
