Job Description
SK Siltron CSS is seeking an AETS Specialist to join our global team and will be located at Bay City, MI. This position is responsible for supporting customer technical needs and applications, coordinating with additional internal departments (customer quality, engineering, quality, product development and manufacturing) to evaluate and provide expertise to customers for the purpose of qualification, problem solving and continuous improvement.
AETS Specialist serve as a vital resource for bridging customers with internal engineering teams by providing technical support for business level initiatives while continuously improving technical capabilities and building relationships. AETS lead all customer product specification assessments, qualification requirements and device fabrication processes to ensure successful commercialization of SiC products.
Responsibilities:
- Understand and meet customer’s needs, requirements, and timeline
- Work with internal engineering, customer quality, quality, commercial and production teams to evaluate customer’s requirements, identify potential solutions and solve issues, as needed in production
- Work with internal engineering, quality, customer quality, commercial and production teams to communicate customer qualification efforts and educate internal teams on customer qualification requirements
- Support R&D and production to create or evaluate customer specifications
- Manage technical history of the business and information flow quickly
- Facilitate early field trials
- Work with development and Product Marketing organizations to ensure proper understanding of customers’ requirements and issues
- Work with customers to understand unique design specification requirements
- Work closely with customers to provide them with prompt and quality services
- Provide technical trend analysis of customers and competitors
- Ensure quality of products being developed and delivered
- Gathering of necessary information from customer describing issue / failure mode
- Lead / co-lead internal QN team in investigation to determine root cause, change to fix or eliminate root cause, verification with customer that issue has been fixed
Requirements
- Knowledge of front-end semiconductor manufacturing processes and power device electrical testing
- Functional understanding of epitaxial growth and wafer requirements
- Fluent / Proficient in English; Korean is a plus
- Domestic and international travel as needed
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field; highly preferred M. Sc. and above in Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Mechanical engineering/Electrical Engineering with 5 years of related work experience
- Able to communicate effectively with customers, as well as directly with field TS, internal engineering, quality, commercial and production teams
- Able to manage multiple projects of various complexity to support customers
Qualifications
- Experience in customer support
- Technical background in ingots, wafers, and semiconductor products
- Knowledge of epitaxial growth and wafer process is a plus
- Experience working in multi-functional teams
- Comfortable giving presentations and forming customer relationships
- Directly stating the customer's voice without compromise to competing functions.
