Job Description

Pay range $135,000-$155,000

You must have experience with warehouse distribution preferably with footwear and apparel. 

Facility Operations Manager leads and implements the operational strategy and processes for night shift order fulfillment and warehousing distribution operations. Oversees the day-to-day operational flow and performance of night shift distribution-related functions to achieve service level and financial performance objectives. Utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, FTZ, or other governmental regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize distribution operations, including but not limited to inbound/outbound logistics, transportation, warehousing, and customer service.
  • Oversee the work of first shift managers and supervisors across multiple distribution departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure the smooth flow of information and product.
  • Monitor KPIs for the distribution departments, making necessary adjustments to improve overall operating performance.
  • Prepare and present reports on distribution activities to upper management, as well as make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.  Recommend new technologies and processes as needed.
  • Manage the night shift distribution budget, ensuring that all expenses are accounted for and that cost-saving measures are taken when possible.
  • Work collaboratively with Day Shift Facility Manager on timely and consistent execution of special projects, such as process changes or performance improvement initiatives, system upgrades, etc.
  • Ensure that the distribution departments follow all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment by setting clear expectations and providing feedback and recognition in a timely manner all members of the night shift team.
  • Partnering with Human Resources when handling employee relation issues, and any other matters in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and leadership skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to follow the directives as assigned by VP of Ops. 
  • Must be able to accept constructive criticism when necessary.
  • Excellent analytical skills required.

The employee is occasionally required to sit for long period of times.
