Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver

SKILLS, Inc. is looking to hire full-time, part-time, and Per diem Direct Support Professionals (DSP) / Caregiver to provide supports to adults with intellectual disabilities. This entry-level caregiver position earns a competitive wage of $16.45- $17.43/hour. A Maine nonprofit, we were founded by families. In the 1950’s, different families built nonprofits to support their children with intellectual disabilities. SKILLS was born from those early organizations. We started serving only adults with intellectual disabilities. Over the last 60 years, we have added services and expanded programs. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment for employees and people receiving support. QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to pass a background check upon hire
• A heart for supporting people with disabilities

FULL, PART-TIME, or PER DIEM WORK SCHEDULES

This entry-level position has various day shift, evening shift, night shift, holiday, and weekend schedules available based on the needs of the persons served and your availability. Overnight shifts from the hours of 10:00 pm - 6:00 am pay $2.50/hour more.
