Skillwork is looking to add a Construction Site Supervisor/Foreman to our growing team! If you are looking to travel the country and find great freedom and flexibility in your work, feel free to apply. We offer per diem and travel compensation!
Qualifications
- 3 years of supervising crews
- 5 years in commercial remodeling
- Proficient in reading and understanding Construction Plans, docs and spec sheets
- In-depth understanding of construction operations and processes
- Ability to operate heavy equipment i.e., forklift
- Proficient with Dropbox (taking and uploading project related docs and photos)
- Familiar with safety, health, and quality standards compliance
- Ability to perform basic handyman work (patch, paint) and quality control
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management
Responsibilities
- Review Construction Drawings, Project Schedule, Qualification and Budget Sheets to get familiar with project and ensure adherence to reviewed docs
- Attend Pre - Con meeting with LL (if required)
- Pick up Building Permit from local Municipality (if required)
- Perform pre-con walkthrough to address any items requiring repairs/replacement
- Submit completed pre-con walkthrough report
- SS to install provided “Coming soon” banners
- Install hanging lockboxes with proper codes
- Conduct Pre-Building Inspections with Building Inspector and Fire Marshall
- Be present during ALL Building and Subtrades Inspections
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Provide daily progress photos via DropBox
- Keep track of material stock and orders
- Maintain onsite records - construction drawings, change orders, and RFIs
- Report (in real time) about potential project delays and/or construction related issues
- Accept client’s deliveries (i.e. furniture, flooring materials)
- Inspect all deliveries and report all discrepancies or damaged product
- Ensure job sites remain safe, clean, and orderly
- Perform Final Walkthrough with Client’s POC
- Completion of misc. Punch List items (patch, paint, etc.)
- Time on site – as directed.
We bring technicians into this team as full time W2 employees. Our external team works on 3 to 6 month assignments of their choosing. We get the option to extend contract, pivot to new clients, or even go full time.
