About us

Skinner's Loft is an American bistro in the heart of Downtown Jersey City. Focused on fresh, contemporary cuisine, with a nod to the traditional, we at Skinner’s provide our guests with a warm, welcoming environment and equally enticing food and drink. We dedicate a portion of our menu to some dishes which are tried and true, and others which are inspired by the freshest available seasonal produce, dairy, farm raised meat and wild caught fish.

Skinner’s Loft is a team of dedicated professionals who all share a passion for food and hospitality. Our cooks have over 100 years of collective kitchen experience, and are lead by Head Chef Juan Gabriel Veliz.

We are seeking a bartender/server who is organized, prompt and energetic, with a good sense of humor and a propensity for teamwork and cooperation. The ability to bartend some shifts and serve other shifts is required. Previous experience is necessary, and an open and flexible schedule is a must. You should have working knowledge of food and drink, and a passion for hospitality. If you are looking just to collect your pay, this is not the place for you. The Requirements:

-A minimum of three years previous experience, preferably at least one in fine dining

-The ability to multitask and function highly under pressure

-Excellent service standards and attention to detail

-Maintain a positive and professional attitude and demeanor

-Have a positive influence on the behavior and outlook of your colleagues

-Exceptional communication skills

-Strong telephone skills

-The ability to listen and follow directions

Pay: $120.00 - $300.00 per day
