Coax Install & Repair Technician
Position Overview
SkyFiNet, LLC. is a broadband Internet and Cable Television service provider based in Brookland, AR. We are a successful rapidly growing business, with services being offered in multiple areas throughout Northeast Arkansas. We are dedicated to providing and improving broadband access in underserved rural communities, and to providing the best local customer support possible.
Essential Functions/Duties and Tasks:
· Operation of bucket truck (aerial lift truck)
· Installation and repair of various data cable that includes twisted pair, coax, stranded cable, and low voltage cable
· Location and repair of faults/issues in service installations
· Use of volt meter, Trilithic Digital Signal Meter
· Installation of cable TV services/coax internet
· Repair/change out tap values
· Repair trouble in cable plant and drop wiring
· Coordinate with Dispatch/Outside Plant Maintenance/Construction side to make sure that install/repair work goes smoothly
· Install and troubleshoot DOCSIS 3.0 modems
Job Requirements
· Must be familiar with connectors (cat5, coax, occasional fiber)
· Knowledge of all types of coax cables including P1-P3
· Must have a current, valid driver’s license
· Dependable transportation to our office or job sites
· Must not be afraid of heights
· Be able to pass a background check
· Be team oriented
· Must possess time management skills and meet deadlines
· Familiarity with OSHA standards and guidelines
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, walk, lift overhead
· Must be able to lift 70 pounds
· Willing and able to work in all types of climates, temperatures, seasons, and weather
· Must be able to climb 28’ extension ladder
Education/Work Experience
· A high school diploma or equivalent
· Preferred 1-3 years of coax experience
This position will be full-time with eligibility for benefits, and will be a salaried position. Position is normal Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, but some hours outside of this may be required in emergency situations.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
