Opportunities for personal growth and advancement; Full time production positions open up at different times throughout the year due to many circumstances. These open production positions are filled from employee candidates off of the Development Team. It allows employees from the Development Team an opportunity to move into a full time position with JDH. Work Ethics, Attendance, Job Performance and Attitude all play an important factor into being selected for the production opening. This position is a temporary status position. Benefit package once hired on full time with JDH. Applicants will be required to complete two company assessments prior to being interviewed. Safety training provided: Working safely is the number one aspect for all employees at JDH and likewise all training will be provided .Abilities and Skills Required: Must have the ability to be a self-starter, a team player, also work independently and use sound judgment. Skills will include working with mill personnel and following verbal/written directions from a supervisor. Duties and Responsibilities: Employee will be tasked with cleaning up. Using Hand tools such as brooms, scrapers and shovels to sweep floors and pick up debris. Employee should be proficient in the following items: 1. Support housekeeping program2. Comply with OSHA Regulations; Company Safety Rules. Working safely to not harm yourself, fellow employees or equipment.3. Use PPE such as Gloves, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Steel Toed Boots, and Hard Hat daily.4. Employees are required to attend all monthly safety training Reasoning Ability: Have the ability to perform tasks with varying levels of complexity and use sound judgment to overcome minor challenges. Work Environment: The employee must be able to work in an outdoor environment. The employee must be comfortable working in an industrial setting. Physical Demands: Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, work with background noise and be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Effectiveness: Demonstrates and meets all aspects of the production/housekeeping standards when on duty. Employee must have a detailed and organized work ethic and possess the ability to understand and follow through with the instructions given. Education: Employee is required to have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalency. Working routine: Employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the mill by following instructions directed by the supervisor. The job routine will consist of scraping any buildup to loosen it up, broom dust and debris into piles, and shovel the piles and or spills into a bin and deliver the product to the designated locations. Loadout Rooftops and tank rooftops will be maintained bi-weekly by removing debris and dust buildup. Conveyors, motors, gearboxes and bearings will be maintained weekly and all buildup of grease, oil, dust and debris will be removed. Employee must be able to work from heights in the mill either on top of the mill by climbing securely attached ladders and or by utilizing a scissor lift or genie to reach certain areas that are not accessible by ladder. Employee will also be working from portable ladders as the need arises
