Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain systems capacity meets existing and future requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for system resource administration and appropriate use.
- Practice Computer asset management, including maintenance of PC inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.
- Provides "ownership" of problems through final resolution.
- Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization’s systems.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on computer hardware, applications, protocols, and standards in administration in support of computer procurement and development efforts.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Work with the Director of IT to develop, document, and maintain security policies and controls, ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.
- Perform regular testing and review of security controls, using a strong awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking/exploitation techniques.
- Assess, approve, and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
- Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers, including e-mail, print, SCCM, and backup servers, and their associated operating systems and software. Responsible for on-site and off-site data centers.
- Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including anti-virus solutions, email security, OS patching, and administrative access.
- Maintain regular communications with end users regarding pertinent system activities.
- Monitor server performance and uptime. Coordinate all responses to server outage or performance issues to final resolution.
- Oversee the administration of all applications in the Office 365 Suite. (Azure AD, Teams, SharePoint, Endpoint Manager/Intune)
- Oversee the administration of user accounts, permissions, and access rights in AD.
- Direct and administrate a contingent of systems analyst and technicians, and when necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
- Work with the Director of IT to develop policies and procedures for the IT department and ensure that they are followed.
- Provide guidance to junior members of the team.
Required Education:
Associate Degree or four years of directly related experience.
Required Experience:
Five (5) years of experience in information technology.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
Valid, unencumbered driver's license.
Preferred Experience:
One (1) year of previous supervisory experience.
MS server and Office 365 Management.
Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
