Shift leader

We have a great opportunity for a seasoned Shift Leader looking to broaden their experience with a fast-growing company. We are currently hiring an experienced and driven full-time Traveling Shift Leader to assist our current and future Slim Chickens restaurants in the Des Moines area.

Training will take place in Ankeny and Grimes or any future locations, so adequate transportation is required. A traveling Shift leader will work in different locations around the Des Moines area as restaurant needs require.

This position has an additional role involving travel and is a great opportunity to see the country, all expenses paid! You will be expected to travel up to once per month for 12 days at a time to new Slim Chickens locations opening around the country (all travel expenses paid, including daily per diem).

Traveling trainers work with a team of other trainers from around the nation to assist training crew and working with new restaurants during their grand opening week.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR TRAVELING SHIFT LEADER

As our Traveling Shift Leader ( TSL ), you impact daily operations, and your skills are critical to the success of the restaurants you assist.

We are looking for TSLs who :

• Maintain a culture of respect and professionalism.
• Have an outgoing personality and are capable of training others one-on-one as well as in a group.
• Provide exceptional customer service and model that to the teams they work alongside.
• Embody our mission and core values both in our restaurants in the Des Moines area and also around the country as they travel.
• Have a high-level of maturity

Capable of assisting in high volume restaurant management

• You assist with managing shifts and supervise team members on all job stations.
• You serve our guests quality food according to brand standards.
• You understand speed of service goals and how to achieve them.
• You assist the management team with cleaning programs and checklists.
• You understand the importance of labor and food cost management.
• You become proficient in all front-of-house job stations or all back-of-house job stations, or both.

Develop a team.

• You assist the in-store management team with training and know how to provide a team with clear expectations, a path to success, and appreciation for their efforts
• You can work well alongside other managers giving and taking direction as needed.

Manage basic day to day paperwork including :

• Assign cash drawers and counts.
• Put together bank deposits.
• Assign staff cards.
• Basic supervisor register functions.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A TRAVELING SHIFT LEADER

• 6 months or more fast casual restaurant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Leadership experience
• Personal Responsibility
• Excellent customer service
• Adequate transportation
• Able to travel
