What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Consultant/Sales position at Slumberland Furniture?
We are seeking a Design and Sales Consultant to become an integral part of our team of Design and Sales professionals. Our Design and Sales consultants enjoy working with and meeting new people, love to learn, and are computer competent. Previous Design and Sales experience is preferred, but not required. We will help you build relationships with customers to help them reflect their own personal sense of style. Slumberland also continues your training throughout your employment with updates on product knowledge as well as Design and Sales Techniques. Our company provides full training and all the tools necessary to be successful.
We offer hourly pay, during training, and a benefits package which includes medical insurance coverage. We also offer an employee purchase program that will help you fill your home with beautiful furniture. Scheduled work weeks include some evenings and weekends to accommodate store hours. We have family friendly hours and our stores close at 6 pm most evenings during the week!
Responsibilities:
-Welcome and identify customer needs
-Explain products and services to customers
-Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
-Enter and process customer orders
-Investigate and resolve customer complaints
-Sales positions require weekend and holiday work
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in interior design, sales, customer service, or other related fields.
-Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
-Ability to build rapport with customers
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Strong negotiation skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
