Position Purpose: Assembling kits and providing accurate and timely kit product to our internal & external clients. The kitting Operations department interfaces directly with Customers, Customer Service, Account Managers, and Production departments. The Kitting Operations department manages the distribution, fulfillment, warehousing and inventory of all kitting products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Has knowledge of all products and kits in account.
- Oversee daily workflow of area and staff.
- Assist in selection, evaluation, and training of all kitting personnel.
- Cross train, educate and mentor co-workers
- Prepare, package and collate product for build to stock and build to order
- Oversee organization, cleanliness, and efficient use of the kitting area.
- Use resources (people, supplies, logistical) in a responsible and cost effective manner.
- Assist with special projects, rollouts, Holiday Kits, and specialty kitting.
- Direct Customer Service and Customer contact to understand, clarify, customer kitting requests
- Develop, Design, Demo, Proof with customer new kitting rollouts
- Direct Face to Face customer interaction involving customer site visits
- Manage day to day kitting build including inventory management, work flow, quality assurance, and production output
- Collaborate with all warehouse staff to ensure steady flow of inventory and packaging to produce kits
- Manage outside third party contractual partners to produce standard monthly kits
- Direct interaction with local and out of state suppliers to ensure flow of inbound goods for kits
- Direct contact with SLWM customer account manager on a weekly if not daily cadence
- Demonstrate and promote high standards for quality and productivity.
- Forklift certified (Motorized Pallet Jack, Reach truck & order picker)
Supervisor responsibilities:
- Manage and Mentor a group of 5-10 team members and temporary employees
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
Hands-On Experience with a WMS, preferably High-Jump / Koerber.
Prior supervision experience.
MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency
Professional Email Communication
Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
High School degree or GED. Exceptional understanding of fulfillment and distribution processes.
Travel 15% (KC location and Plano, Tx)

Working conditions:
Warehouse environment subject to variable temperatures and humidity. Office and clerical duties. Will pack and lift boxes between 1-50 pounds on a frequent basis with the average being less than 20 pounds. The average shift is from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime is expected and subject to workload, manpower needs, and timeframes for projects.
