Job Title: Warehouse Clerk
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Duration: 1 Year (Potential to convert to FTE)
Job Description:
- Resource's typical working day: The Warehouse Technician provides services for warehouse or distribution locations, ensuring that materials are loaded, unloaded, stored, and shipped efficiently and accurately.
- In addition to storing and shipping merchandise and material, these individuals process information and enter vital data into the Host’s inventory control systems to ensure precise counts on all available materials.
- The Warehouse Technician also assists with general maintenance and upkeep of the working environment to safeguard workplace safety and cleanliness
- Working specifically with Furniture parts. Building tables, monitor
- arms. Helping load and unload trucks. General clean-up.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree) equivalent required. Previous related work experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
- Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
- Requires no basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
- Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
- Requires basic analytical skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to use computer system to record materials received and shipped. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- The purpose of this position is to provide service and support to the warehouse by handling shipping and receiving tasks. Loads/unloads merchandise or material from cars or trucks.
- Packs and unpacks shipments, processing, scanning and shelving of parts, pulling orders, and data entry into computerized inventory control systems.
- Processes and verifies inventory movement transactions, maintains overall accuracy of inventory levels.
- Plans layout, maintenance and up keep of stockroom and other storage areas and consolidates existing stock to maximize space utilization.
- Operates all lift equipment in a safe manner to ensure personal protection and to ensure the protection of other personnel and company property.
- Maintains housekeeping in and around the back stock storage areas.
- Uses scanner & computer to enter data and maintain inventory.
- May perform other duties as assigned or requested by management.
- No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
- May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.
- May coordinate tasks with coworkers within a work unit and/or project.
- Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.
- Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.
