We are recruiting for a Senior-PMP Program Manager for our client, The State of Florida Government - Department of Financial Services (ONSITE) in Tallahassee, Florida.
This is similar to Project Manager but needs leadership experience managing large projects.
Generally more than 15 years of experience.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field. or equivalent work experience.
Project Management certification.
A minimum of 10 years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 3 years of leadership experience and 5 years managing projects and/or project portfolios. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with technical and Department staff.
Proficient in English language.
Experience in directing and mentoring a team of program managers, project managers, portfolio managers and/or other project management staff. Experience in defining and developing enterprise-wide IT project/program management practices, governance standards, processes and metrics.
Experience in ensuring projects/programs are defined, tracked and communicated in a consistent and effective manner.
Experience in incorporating effective change and risk management controls.
Experience in ensuring all projects within IT portfolios/programs are delivered on time, within budget and to an agreed quality level.
