In this position, the Account Executive will be responsible for business development and new account creation. The primary focus will be to develop and cultivate business relationships with meeting and event professionals from major corporations and production companies.
Responsibilities: (This position can be located anywhere in the US.)
The Account Executive is a customer-facing role that requires relationship creation and management skills. This position is high profile in an industry which pursues opportunities based upon client relationships. The Account Executive will be responsible for obtaining new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and generally managing good and profitable business.
Bring or establish national relationships through existing contacts, networking, phone calls and face-to-face appointments.- Leverage internal/external resources to build new client relationships while maintaining success with existing clients.
- Exercise effective sales strategies and closing techniques to successfully achieve individual sales and performance goals.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated professional sales experience in the event production, meeting planning, and corporate events market- Must have existing relationships in the events industry
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively present ideas and information in a professional business environment
- Effective time management skills, with strong organization and prioritization abilities
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (TEAMS)
- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to continually improve performance and take it to the next level
- Ability to utilize social media, search engines and other business resources to gather relevant data and facts
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
