Job Summary:
In this position, the National Account Executive will be responsible for new account development within the US, promoting our Audio-Visual event technologies and digital services solutions. The primary focus will be to develop and cultivate business relationships with national and state association markets, third party meeting and event planners, and event production companies.
Responsibilities:
- Effectively develop and penetrate accounts on a national/regional level through phone calls email, social channels, and face-to-face appointments, as well as being actively involved in the industry-based organizations (IAEE, PCMA, ASAE etc.)
- Leverage internal/external resources to build new client relationships while maintaining success with existing clients.
- Exercise effective sales strategies and closing techniques to successfully achieve individual sales and performance goals.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated professional sales experience preferably in the event production, meeting planning, meetings/convention market and corporate events market
- Existing relationships in the events industry is a plus
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively present ideas and information in a professional business environment
- Effective time management skills, with strong organization and prioritization abilities
- The ability to use critical thinking, with a business mindset
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
- A positive, can-do attitude with a desire to continually improve performance and take it to the next level
- Ability to utilize search engines and other business resources to gather relevant data and facts
- Ability to travel on an as needed basis, up to 25% of the time.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
