What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at SMC?
This position will be working to support the office and members of the sales and estimating departments, as well as to support Senior level management. A successful candidate is able to work well as a member of the team, investigate items thoroughly, and is someone who can adapt to handle a variety of tasks that require attention to detail.
Essential Job Functions, Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct support as needed to company executives and estimators while performing various duties such as, but not limited to, maintaining the office supplies
- Complete and update all fleet documents, including registrations, IFTA, and any DOT paperwork to assist the Safety Manager and Fleet Manager
- Management shipments, order material, and maintain company forms as needed
- Manage and create content for the website and social media
- Create, post, and maintain job openings on various employment sites
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- 1 – 3 years’ experience in an office setting; This is an entry level position with a pay range of $20.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience
- Strong Microsoft Suite skills
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong work ethic with willingness to take on new tasks and learn new skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work well independently as well as with a team
- Ability to pass pre-employment as well as random company drug testing
