Job Summary:
The Office Manager oversees the daily management of the dental office. This position’s direct reports are the front desk support, dental assistants, dental hygienist, sterilizations technician and other support staff located within the dental clinic. This position reports directly to the Regional Manager. This individual provides leadership, planning, financial and patient’s management, staff supervision, and daily operational oversight of the clinic.

- Oversees the day-to-day supervision of all aspects of daily office operations within the practice: ensuring patient admissions is operating efficiently; monitoring appointments management, patient account review, collection of patient demographic, and their interaction with patients and providers.
- Works to continuously to improve the clinic business operations and internal controls to the patient experience within the clinics. Ensuring efficiency of office procedures including overseeing the proper routing of phone calls, messages, and patient requests. Ensuring that voice mail messages are checked on a regular basis throughout clinic operating hours
- Act as a liaison between the providers and the clinical staff. Ensures that all providers and staff are adhering to office guidelines and compliance protocols set forth by Smiles Dental
- Works collaboratively with billing team to ensure effective coordination of front and back end billing processes
- Responsible for enforcing policies and guidelines in accordance with compliance regulations
- Responsible for staying current on all medical and dental coding regulations and communicating changes appropriately to ensure the clinics policies are in compliance
- Acts a liaison between the clinical providers/staff and billing and compliance teams. Responsible for enforcing office compliance protocols. Works with all parties to ensure compliance policies and procedures are being adhered to. Communicates with all parties regarding concerns or changes
- Complete pre-authorization and referrals as appropriate for patients
- Bill dental procedures performed to insurance companies
- Ensures office is regularly maintained and cleaned
- Any other duties that may be assigned

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- High school diploma
- Three or more years of related progressive experience required in a dental setting
- Demonstrated work and/or educational experience related to the
- Five years of related experience in a dental practice setting with supervisory experience preferred

Work Environment:
This job operates in an interior medical/clinical environment that involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines

Pay: $63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
