Smith Protective Services has been serving the Texas area for over 100 years. As the largest, privately held security company in Texas, Dallas is our home base. With the tremendous growth we are experiencing and the long-term outlook for the Dallas market, we are looking for a strong growth minded Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. The goal is to provide the highest quality protective services to professional companies and people that make up one of the largest markets in North America. This is an opportunity to be a part of the growth of Texas with one of the most revered 4th generation family owned and operated Texas based business. We value relationships built on trust, integrity and longevity. This position will be responsible for the sale of security services and customer account management in the Dallas area.

Responsibilities

· Develop a growth strategy focused both on new and existing business

· Be obsessed with customer satisfaction

· Arrange business meetings with prospective clients

· Promote the company’s products/services addressing customer needs and objectives

· Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines

· Be data driven to provide accurate information

· Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

· Exceed sales targets and build long term relationships

Skills

· Proven working experience as a business development manager or sales executive

· Proven sales track record of over achievement

· Ability to meet new people and develop interest in business alliances

· Experienced in referral-based selling

· Ability to adapt, learn and grow

· Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

· Proficiency in English

· Market knowledge and the ability to expand it

· Communication and negotiation skills

· Desire to be the best and the energy to accomplish it

· Time management is a skill and planning build’s more time

Key Essential Functions

· Generate and utilize sales leads with decision makers and make or conduct sales presentations.

· Present and sell company products and services to new and existing customers.

· Prospect and contact potential customers and address customer needs.

· Exceed sales and financial targets.

· Resolve customer inquiries in a team-oriented fashion.

· Maintain and build customer relationships and close new business opportunities.

· Possess a sense of urgency to get the job done.

· Ability to be part of a team and deliver results

· Be a student of the profession and always be learning.
