Corporate Accountant

Responsibilities include:

• · Establishing and maintaining internal controls
• · Assisting with external audit engagements
• · Assist with various payroll functions
• Knowledge of SOX reporting preferred
• Assist with the daily accounting management and monthly closing process which includes, but is not limited to; analyzing and reconciling various accounts to ensure accuracy and making journal entries to correct as necessary, reviewing transactions (such as employee expense reports, accounts payable vouchers and bank transactions) for each entity as required, completing various schedules and reports on a timely basis to provide to management, and provide guidance to other members of the accounting team to ensure accuracy and timely reporting
• Learn various software applications used by the company and demonstrate an above-average aptitude in using them; some specifics include Excel and AS400
• Ability to quickly and easily adapt to change/time deadlines.

Associates degree in accounting, finance or relevant field is necessary.

Skill(s):

· Proven experience as corp. accountant or similar position;

· Experience with payroll processing and related tax filings;

Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
