ABOUT THE MATERIALS SUPPORT ASSOCIATE (MSA) ROLE:
The Smooth-On Inc. Sales and Marketing Department is seeking an organized and high-energy Materials Support Associate (MSA) to help support operations at our HQ in Macungie, PA (near Allentown, PA). MSAs are essential parts of the Smooth-On team and must balance several key responsibilities.
Upon starting with Smooth-On, MSAs must take ownership of learning about our mold-making & casting materials, modeling clay products, and more. You will learn how our products work, what they are for, how to use them properly, and which products work best for different applications.
*** WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH FULL PRODUCT & APPLICATIONS TRAINING ***
MSAs are strong communicators, comfortable getting their hands dirty, able to work independently, and comfortable working with various personality types. MSAs are part of a focused team and coordinate with the company Managers, Sales Reps, Lab, Office, Shipping, and Production teams to run day-to-day business operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary duty of an MSA is to assist in the daily production of several important marketing tools – including:
These sample items allow customers to see and feel the finished state of our products and better understand how they can be used for their projects. MSAs use our products every day – measuring, mixing, pouring, and working with materials in a workshop environment to create various samples that are used to support sales activities all over the world. In this, MSAs must have a committed attention to detail and a keen eye for imperfections in cured disks.
A MSA’s additional responsibilities include:
MSAs play a big role in supporting our marketing events and may also occasionally travel to outside branches/distributors to support various marketing activities (training, store setup, & more).
