GENERAL MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION:

Good Girl Sakaya is devoted to serving unique Peruvian and Japanese dishes created with the finest and freshest ingredients, in an innovative designed venue. While the cocktail program at Good Girl Sakaya is the center of attraction, the emphasis is on quality gastronomic creations around a distinct ambiance designed to entice the senses and stimulate your appetite.

This is a leadership role for our innovative and exclusive restaurant with a casual but energetic dining concept. Our dishes and customer focused hospitality compliment the menu in an eclectic atmosphere. A strong presence in the restaurant as well as great attention to detail and to each guest experience is key in this position. S/he must partner with Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, Floor Supervisor, Bar team and management to keep the work environment safe and compliant with all relevant laws and regulation, plan, coordinate, execute and control the flow of service.

The General Manager must enjoy coaching and teaching their staff to produce exceptional dining experiences and strong financial results. The General Manager assures that the restaurant complies with local health and safety codes for eating establishments, and must also perform the administrative duties for the facility. Must consistently deliver high standards of service, hospitality quality and pride in all that s/he does.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities:

● Manage daily restaurant operations with a focus on flawless execution, increasing profit, and enhancing the guest experience.

● Understand and execute an action plan to achieve goals.
● Build and lead strong teams, including recruiting and interviewing, hiring, employee development, engagement, and retention.
● Be employee-centric and understand the impact of training, process and procedures

● Delegate assignments fill in for absent employees, and ensure customers have a pleasant experience in the establishment, while managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources.

● Communicate restaurant policies to the employees, scheduling shifts, and calling in workers when needed for shift coverage.

● Interact with a very diverse population of guests and team members, ensuring superb guest service and hospitality.

● Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.

● POS and cash handling expertise in a restaurant setting.
● Complete understanding of financials including P&L, budgets, forecasting, reporting, inventory management, and food & labor cost.
● Must have a guest focused approach and desire to provide excellent customer service and superb hospitality.
● Experience strategies that drive sales while controlling cost.
● Must be physically present on the restaurant floor and in the kitchen to monitor the quality of the service

Requirements:

● Must have open shift availability without restrictions
● Must be able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to effectively communicate with supervisors, employees, and guests.
● Proficiency in various software applications such as POS and Reservations.
● Proven track record working independently and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
● Strong financial acumen
● Excellent organizational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize.
● Superb analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills.
● Exceptional people management and coaching skills.
● Strong conflict management skills.
● Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
● High level of initiative and self-motivation. Perseverance and commitment to getting the job done.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $62,000.00 per year
