We are currently seeking a team member who believes in the “extra mile” philosophy to fulfill our Regional Sales Manager role.

We are looking to hire a passionate, self-motivated Regional Sales Manager to regularly visit each store within the region to ensure that sales strategies are being instituted and that sales goals are being met.

In this role, you would be a leader and mentor for our amazing Sales team. The Regional Sales Manager must be someone who cares about others and is willing to guide them to meet their professional goals. We need someone who has a lot of sales expertise who is looking to pass it down. This role requires someone excited about leading and experiencing team success through achieving and exceeding sales targets.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day

  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and values of Snider Fleet Solutions.
  • Manage all sales team’s activities to achieve desired commercial growth goals for the region(s)
  • Work with the Branch Manager to recruit, interview, hire, train, manage, coach, and retain the commercial sales team
  • Ensure that job expectations are communicated clearly
  • Coach and lead your team to achieve sales goals and work with the regional sales goals to maintain and expand customer base
  • Relay customer insight, concerns, and needs to product and operations teams to ensure quality customer service delivery
  • Deliver reports on sales goals, targets, and additional sales insights to the sales team and branch manager
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities with sales associates
  • Work with Regional Managers to create a positive partnership with our suppliers in the region (new tires, mechanical, etc)
  • Ensure available inventory for customer needs
  • Hold sales meetings in conjunction with Branch Managers to maintain consistent communication within the region
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities
  • Develop strategies to achieve targets with each sales associate
  • Work with sales associate to generate leads for potential customers for each market (Fleet Smart, Rig Dig, etc)
  • Participate in continuing education such as successful completion of supplier training requirements, such as B2B courses offered by Michelin

This position will be based in a commercial/industrial tire and/or mechanical truck service center at one of our Snider branches. The majority of this position will consist of interacting with customers and Snider branch operations personnel over either the phone or in-person. Geographical travel is required 80% of the time to various local customer and Snider locations. Overnight and out of market travel is required less than 60% of total travel. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts/equipment, fumes, or airborne particles, and noise level is usually moderate.

Our Ideal Candidate

Education or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related fields and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5-7 years' experience within the industry or a related management position.
  • Proven track record of new account development
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in previous roles
  • Must have a clean driving record.

Certificates And Licenses

  • Valid Class C Driver's License or state(s) equivalent and must be insurable to drive by company standards.
  • Commercial TIA certification required after six months of employment.

Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Safety conscious at all times.
  • Clear understanding of the sales cycle/process
  • Proven negotiating and sales closing skills
  • Ability to analyze customer programs to maximize profitability and customer service experience
  • Capable of learning and utilizing Snider systems tools
  • Must be able to sell customers on Snider’s Business Model by demonstrating a strong understanding of each department’s features, benefits, offerings, and strategy (Mechanical, Industrial & OTR, and Commercial).
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and operate other software (AS400, SAP, Paylocity, BTN, etc.)
  • Must have strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills, as well as close attention to detail.
  • Ability to cycle inventory, run reports, and communicate with upper management.
  • Reliable and dependable with self-initiative.
  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and develop client base.
  • Ability to understand the top 30 customer’s portfolio, as well as the top 10 potential.
  • Superior customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Demonstrate proficient analytical thinking and business insight.
  • Requires strategic thinking and the ability to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Must be able to work in a results-oriented fast-paced environment.
  • Sensitivity to confidential matters.
  • Demonstrate the ability to problem solve commercial tire, maintenance, call center, and ERS issues with the end user.
