Bell Person
Reports to: Bell Supervisor and Guest Services Manager
Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary
Escort members and guests. Carry members and guests personal belongings.
Essential Functions
Leadership
- Promotes a positive work culture.
Guest Service
- Greet guests in a friendly manner and offer assistance with luggage
- Lift luggage, packages, and boxes from cars, buses, vans, and carts, placing items on the ground, onto baggage carts, or other vehicles.
- Transport guest luggage to and from shuttle, lobby, and rooms.
- Accurately communicate with other shifts regarding issues arising from day-to-day operations
- Provide guest transportation to and from the Aspen Airport, while following all applicable laws.
- Follow and complete daily checklists provided by Supervisor.
- Provide limited concierge services for guests- answer questions about town; provide recommendations for restaurants, etc.
- Assist front desk with phones or guests as needed. Transfer phone calls and report any important information to the front desk.
- Ensure the hotel shuttle is clean- take in for consistent car washes, cleanout trash, vacuum, etc.
- Do consistent walk-throughs of all properties; pick up trash and debris, clean/arrange furniture, empty trash cans, etc.
- Keep your radio/bell phone on at all times and respond to all calls in a timely manner.
Safety
- Make sure walkway areas are clear of ice, snow, leaves, and trash
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required roles during emergency situations.
Other Functions
- Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Bell Supervisor.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Licenses and Special Requirements
- None
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
- Ability to coordinate the movement of arms, legs and torso together when the whole body is in motion.
- Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without experiencing undo fatigue.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach with the body, arms and/or legs.
- Ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
