Construction Administrator

Snyder Hoffman Associates, Inc. is seeking individuals to join our team as a Construction Administrator our office in Bethlehem, PA.

SHA is an accomplished Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Consulting firm serving the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia, Philadelphia suburbs, and surrounding areas. Since 1987, SHA has built its reputation on a core of solid, professional staff members and an enduring commitment to client satisfaction by thoroughly and efficiently documenting practical well executed MEP designs. Our designs include education, healthcare, municipal, and religious building construction.

Responsibilities:

• Field oversight of the installation of systems designed by our Engineers and installed by Contractors.
• Act as the liaison between the firm, our clients, and the construction team.
• Attendance at construction meetings with contractors and clients.
• Answer RFI’s
• Process submittals

Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering or Construction Administration or related field is required
• 1-5 years’ experience in engineering/design in the construction industry
• EIT certificate and/or PE is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of building codes and local ordinances

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members
• Must be able to obtain and maintain clean records for Federal and State Criminal History and Child Abuse clearances
• Must be able to function in a team environment and guide multiple projects from conception to construction
• Qualified applicants will possess strong working knowledges of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
