We are seeking a Manager of Technical Marketing based in Milpitas, California. The position will work closely with the Sales, Product Development and Engineering team and report to the Senior Director of Marketing.

Key requirements:

  • Experience in working with customer silicon projects from concept to production.
  • Experience in working with ASIC & VLSI design flows.
  • Experience with front-end and back-end design flows. Ability to apply technical expertise to customer’s design through all phases.
  • Experience with design for packaging methodologies.
  • Ability to understand requirements documents and translate into appropriate block level architecture.
  • Ability to translate requirements into a detailed design specification.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and techniques in current commercial technologies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and manage all aspects of silicon development and work directly with customers on semi-custom silicon development.
  • Ensure designs meets product performance requirements by performing related tasks.
  • Responsible for working with customer with their silicon plans and coordinating the silicon development process with system and cross functional teams.
  • Communicate customer’s silicon needs to the silicon implementation team and work with them closely on development plans and implementation to meet system requirements.
  • Develop plans from first prototype build to release for mass production ramp.
  • Understand customer’s problem statement, and able to translate it into action plans.
  • Drive technology (system architecture, chip H/W, S/W, F/W, IPs, methodology, etc.) collaboration with customers, together with Business Development and Solution teams
  • Add and create values by extending technology offering from ecosystem partners.
  • Discover, connect, and maintain good business relationship with targeted customers in consumer business domains, especially ISP related business, such as imaging/camera, AR/VR, smart home device and tablet PC.
  • Identify key individuals and understand customer decision processes, in complex organizations.
  • Working with sales team on the business process from product/technology introduction, funnel management, to design-ins/wins.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, to conduct market research, trend, and competitive analysis per targeted market segments.
  • Manage KPIs by building and winning new opportunities.

Skills and Required Experience:

  • 7 years of experience working in business development, or marketing in high-tech industry.
  • Technical knowledge in some of these areas:
  • Image (still and video) processing technologies; image and/or audio-based AI, AR/VR/XR.
  • Space sensing technologies – vision, ToF, Lidar, Radar, ultrasonic, PIR, etc.
  • Video format standards – AV1, VPx, HEVC/H.265, AVC/H.264, MPEG, etc.
  • Experience with semiconductor’s
  • SoC (system on a chip)
  • ASIC (customer application specific IC)
  • ASSP (Application specific standard products)
  • CPUs (ARM/X86 etc.)
  • GPU/DSP
  • Technical document/presentation writing skills.
  • Teamwork, dedication, collaborative, strong communications, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of consumer electronics, preferable with mass production track record.
  • Ability to analyze, prepare, and present data surrounding for business plan customizations.
  • Strategic thinker, self-motivated and self-driving

Education:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience; M.B.A is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,868.79 - $180,000.00 per year
