Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for its food service operations at Bethany Village, a large upscale continuing care retirement community located in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Bethany Village is part of the Asbury Communities and offers several dining venues including a bistro, cafe, and restaurant-style dining. This Executive Chef will lead a culinary team of 3 sous chefs and approximately 10 cooks. The typical shift will be 10:30am - 7:30pm, which may vary with every other weekend coverage.
The successful candidate will:
- be hands-on and oversee the daily food production including production planning and controls;
- ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;
- have high expectations for the quality of food and presentation;
- have the ability and willingness to mentor and train employees; and
- knowledge of Food Management Systems/Software is preferred.

Position Summary
Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution. Key Duties- Implements & coordinates the culinary function. - Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.- Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.- Manages catering & retail areas.- Customer & Client satisfaction.- Financial management to include food cost & labor management.- Manages food & physical safety programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
