Unit Description
Sodexo is seeking a General Manager 4 (Food) at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, located in Brighton, MA. At Sodexo, you will find the ingredients for a great career in food service management. In this role you will report to the Client Executive and oversee a team of 4 Sodexo managers and approximately 40 fronline staff (unionized hospital hourly employees). The hours for this role are approximately 7:30am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday, with the flexibility to attend to any issues that may arise on the weekends.
St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, a Boston University Teaching Hospital, provides patients and families access to some of Boston’s most respected physicians and advanced treatments offering specialized care. It's 308-bed main campus is in the heart of Boston’s Brighton neighborhood.
The successful candidate will:
- have oversight of all day-to-day operations, effectively partnering with the Retail Manager, Patient Services Manager, Executive Chef, and Clinical Nutrition Manager
- ensure delivery of high quality food services including retail, catering and patient meal management operations
- achieve company and client financial targets and goals
- develop and maintain effective client and customer relationships
- ensure HACCP, regulatory and standards compliance

- bring Food & Nutrition leadership experience in a healthcare environment; a culinary background is a plus but not required
- excel with maintaining strong client relationships and high level of customer service
- prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
- have strong attention to detail in regards to providing high quality, fresh food maintaining the highlest levels of safety and quality standards

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
