What are the responsibilities and job description for the Record to Report Project Lead - D4272 position at SOFT Inc?
SOFT's client, located in Waltham, MA is looking for a Record-to-Report Project Lead for a long term contract assignment. This position is primarily remote, but candidates local to Massachusetts or New York are preferred.
Working on a Finance Transformation program, you will be the project lead within the Record-to-Report (R2R) module reporting into the module lead. You will be responsible for 8 initiatives within the modules, working with the initiative leads to ensure that the program benefits and outcomes are delivered on time. You will also have a dotted line into the program PMO to ensure that best practice is consistently applied through-out the project life-cycle and communicate any key messages to the R2R module team.
You will be working in a regulated environment overseen by FERC (US) & OFGEM (UK).
Key requirements are: -
- Proven experience working on finance transformation program.
- Clear experience/exposure working in the Record to Report area either within BAU or on a transformation program.
- Experience in process improvement & policy change.
- Digital transformation experience.
- An understanding of reporting both internal and external.
- Have an understanding of a GPO role, global taxonomy and L1-L5 process mapping.
- Possess an understanding of KPI’s, metrics and bench-marking (e.g. Hackett)
- Experience or able to demonstrate an understanding of working in a regulated environment.
- You MUST be able to demonstrate experience of managing several concurrent projects as part of a portfolio or program.
- Clear understanding of PMO best practices (e.g. Risk management, reporting, financials, resources)
- Able to deputize in meetings for the module lead & GPO.
- Stakeholder engagement and working with the change team, taking the lead within the module for creation of communication materials
Technologies
- Microsoft Project is a MUST
- Office 365 – highly proficient and especially in Powerpoint (MUST)
- MS Teams
- Blackline – exposure or experience helpful but not required
- SAP ECC – exposure or experience of working with SAP helpful but not required
Qualifications (ideally)
- PMP or Prince 2 – nice to have
- Understanding of Agile – nice to have
- Accounting qualifications are a nice-to-have
- Change Management is a nice-to-have
